In chapters 17 and 18 music and talent shows played an important role such like in chapters before. Do you think if Esther didn't give Ishmael the package with the Walkman and the cassette, would Ishmael have treated her diffrently?
Yes i think ishmael would have treated her differently if she didnt reward him with the cassette because music was something besides break dancing he cherished his music. So yes i think ishmael would have treated her differently.
I don't think that Ishmael would have treated her differently because he needs a person to bond to so he could tell the person what he feels. I the she likes to him help out and make sure his life gets better that’s why I think she gave him the walkman.
We don't know. But it might be Esther will find it more difficult to approach Ishmael. By giving him the walkman and cassette Esther didn't find any difficulties because music is really the thing that Ishmael loves a lot.

I DONT THINK ISHMAEL WOULD HAVE TREATED HER DIFFERENTLY BECAUSE THEY WERE STARTING TO GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER.SO SHE DID THAT OUT OF HER KINDNESS....
Yes I think most likey wouldn't have opened up to her about his war stories.
