Yes I do think the punishment the fishermen inflicted upon the boys was unjust, not to mention extremely cruel. In the first place no punishment would have sufficed. I ask myself what crime had these seven boys committed, that would be an appropriate fit for the pain they endured. All we have here is a group of children desperately trying to find a safe haven, but their path is continuously blocked. Every begining seems to have the same ending some near death expierence. Therefore I in turn ask you is there a more suitable punishment?
The fishermans' punishment was indeed very cruel. But in a way you can't blame them. Yes they are young boys trying to find their way to safety but the boys did enter the fishermans' territory. Through times like these, with the war going on, everyone is just trying to protect themselves and their land to survive.
The fisherman's punishment was unjust. He thought they were the rebels. So,the fisherman puinshed them to save his village. He didn't know that they were looking for a safety place. I think his puishment would be better because he didn't kill them and let them live.
The dogs felt something is going to happen. They have a good feeling and they can see things that humans do not see. Saidu had died, which it was a sign that made dogs crying alot. My view is that dogs can feel any danger things that can happen any time.
Dawson I think the punishment given by the fishermen to the boys was not as bad as it should've been. why? because if I was the chief of the fishermen I would have ordered the boys to be killed thinking they were rebels. That's what I would've done. That's why I think that even though the punishment was cruel and painful the boys should have been thankful they were still alive and that they spared their lives.
I think the dogs did sense something was wrong. They have very good senses they can hear well and everything. We saw what the outcome was; a death of one of the boys.

I feel the fisherman had little pitty on the boys for actually allowing them to live. They were protecting all that they had to live for..their family, homes and well being. Survival of the fittest!!
I don't believe the punishment was just because the fishremen knew they were just young boys running scared that's why they let them go if they thought they were rebels i believe things would have been worse

as far as the punishment goes i feel it was just because, it could have been a lot worse than what it was.
