After reading pages 49 to 88, I do think that Ishmael made a right decision by leaving Kaloko. If Ishmael stayed in Kaloko he would have had been wasting his time, and just waiting so it can be his time to die. Yes he did had a hard time after like in the forest but he then met six new friends and got farther with them.
After I have read the following pages I do think that Ishmael made the right decision by leaving Kaloko. The reason I feel that he made the right decision is because he made new friends who are actually old friends and in the long run he heard news about his family and he might be reunited with them.
Yes I think Ishmael Made the Right decision about leaving kaloko. Because in doing so he made new friends and plus by leaving he also heard news about his family. So most likely He can return to them and they can be happy once again.
I think that Ishmael did the right thing by leaving kaloko,if he had stay there longer he probably would have ended dead, he had nothing to lose by living .Not only did he found friends when he left, but also the hope to find his family.
I BELIVE ISHMAEL DID THE RIGHT THING BY LEAVING KALOKO EVEN THOUGH IT WAS RISKY BUT ITS BETTER THEN DYING. I THINK THAT BECAUSE WHEN THEIR TRYIN TO FIND FOOD THEYRE GOING TO GET CAUGHT EVENTUALLY AND DIE.
To Danny: I agree with your answer, but its too early in the story to tell if Ishmael is going to find his family and be happy once again. thank you for your comment. Ramy H.
After reading pages 49 to 88 I do think that Ishmael did the right thing remember it is about survive and seeing a new day if he would have stayed with Kaloko he would have ended up die, but if he did stay he would never found of the news the his family was a live so he would never have hope to keep going on.
To Carmen: I agree with your answer, good job. "he had nothing to lose by LIVING" leaving*. That was the only thing wrong with your answer. thank you for your comment. Ramy H.
I'm a writing professor at Hudson County Community College. I have been teaching here for about 10 years, and I love working with the eclectic bunch of students I meet each semester.
